Key insights;
- 24% of technology professionals working for a company with 2-250 employees are in a pre-seed or seed startup
- Technology professionals who work at startups are, on average, almost two years earlier in their technology careers than those working at established companies.
- 21% of startups, compared to only 14% of established companies, sell subscriptions to generate revenue.
- Startups are leading the charge in adopting Web3 and its associated technologies and features
- Among those not working for startups, the highest cutting-edge area of involvement is in generative AI (44%) –8 percentage points higher than startups –likely due in large part to the significant costs associated with developing generative AI.
